Description

The bridge over the River Itchen, built in the late 18th century, is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a string course and a coped parapet. It has a vaulted structure made of brick. The bridge includes a rusticated semi-circular arch and circular flood openings, both of which have keystones. The curved abutments are supported by cylindrical piers.
