Description
Grounds Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located in Frankton. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features string course bands and a dentil cornice. The roof is slate, with brick stacks at the ends. The building has a T-plan layout, with a double-span range at the rear. It stands three storeys high and has a symmetrical front with three windows. The entrance features a mid to late 19th-century chamfered fielded six-panelled door, which includes an overlight with glazing bars and a small wooden hood supported by simple brackets. The windows consist of three-light and a central two-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, with two on the ground floor and brick segmental arches above the ground and first floors. Inside, there is a straight flight staircase with stick balusters, and a room to the left has an open fireplace.
