Description
The Village House and attached outbuilding is a house dating from the late 18th century, with a 19th-century range and alterations made in the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features a 20th-century tile roof with boxed eaves and a brick internal stack located at the right corner. The building has a four-unit plan with an addition on the left side. It stands two storeys high and has a five-window range. The main range, which has four windows, includes a moulded panelled door in the second bay and a 19th or 20th-century open porch. The windows are three-light casements, with a two-light casement above the door, all featuring glazing bars. The ground floor openings are topped with brick segmental arches. The left range has two-light casements with a half-dormer, and the left part serves as an outbuilding, which includes a small window with a wood lintel. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
