Description
The Green Dragon Public House is an 18th-century building located at No 11 Market Place. It is a two-storey structure with an attic and features a five-window facade. The facade has been rendered in cement in the 20th century, but the main lines of the original building have been preserved. The lower storey includes a semi-circular-headed arcade, although the two right-hand bays have been blocked up. The piers are either new or heavily restored. The upper floor has sash windows set in plain reveals, and there is a moulded cornice at the eaves. The roof, which has been restored, features four hipped dormers with old tiles. The Green Dragon Public House is part of a group with Nos 3 to 13 Market Place.
