Description
The Church of St. Michael features a cross located approximately 15 meters south of the south porch. This cross dates from the 14th century and has a shrine head mounted on a 19th-century shaft and base, likely made of limestone. The shrine head displays four panelled faces, each adorned with worn crocketed pinnacles at the corners and a crocketed pinnacle at the top. The carved panels are believed to depict the Crucifixion, the Virgin Mary, St. Catherine, and St. Chad. The cross stands on a polygonal shaft and a base consisting of three steps.
