Description

The Homestead is an early 18th-century house and attached outbuilding, originally a butcher's house and shop. It is constructed of regular coursed limestone and has an old tile roof with coped gable parapets featuring moulded kneelers; the right-hand end has brick stacks, reduced in height. The building has a 2-unit plan and a 2-window front. The central entrance has a 2-panelled plank door. The ground floor windows are early/mid 19th-century wood and iron casements with horizontal glazing bars, set beneath blackened wood lintels. The first floor has cross windows. The interior includes ceiling beams, and a room to the left has an open fireplace.
