Description
Town Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1830, constructed of brick in Flemish bond with a hipped slate roof and brick end stacks. The building features a central staircase plan and is three storeys high, with a three-window range. The ground and first floors have 16-pane sash windows, while the second floor has 8-pane sashes. All windows are topped with rendered flat arches. The entrance includes a six-panelled door with a decorative fanlight and a panelled reveal, set within an iron lattice-work porch. Additional sash windows are located on the sides, and there are two- and three-light casements at the rear. The rear also features another six-panelled door with a pilaster surround. To the right and rear, there is a 19th-century two-storey brick range. On the left facade, a drain head displays the initials 'HH' (for Henry Horley, the builder) and the date 1830. Inside, there is a stick-baluster staircase that rises to the second floor, a stone-flagged hall floor, and six-panelled doors with moulded architraves.
