Description
Rectory Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse, with additions from the 18th/early 19th century and the early/mid 19th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone with irregular quoins. The roof is of old tile, with brick end and lateral stacks. The building has a central staircase plan, which has been extended to create a complex L-shaped plan, featuring a wing projecting to the right. The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic, and a three-window front range. The central entrance has a half-glazed door. There are 19th-century and 20th-century casement windows. The first floor has two original leaded cross windows on the left, which have been partially reglazed. The wing has an attic window. A plank door with part-glazing is set within an angle on the left return side of the wing, alongside a casement window. An addition to the left has a corrugated iron roof and two 20th-century windows. A lean-to addition on the right side of the wing includes a three-light leaded casement window. All openings have painted wood lintels. The return side of the wing is brick, and there is a 19th-century brick wing attached. The interior was not inspected. The setting includes corrugated iron roofing and corrugated iron additions.
