Description

This is a farmhouse, now divided into two separate houses, located in Fenny Compton. Built in the early 18th century, it was extended in the early 19th century, maintaining a continuous roofline. The farmhouse is constructed of coursed limestone, with a concrete tile roof and brick stacks at the ridge and ends. It has a five-unit plan and two storeys plus an attic, with a three-window front.

The left-hand section, now No.1 Mill Hill Cottages, features a mid to late 20th-century plank door with a hood supported by shaped brackets. The central section has two three-light stone-mullioned windows with chamfered frames. The right-hand end contains a 19th-century casement window with a painted wood lintel, and a small 20th-century window on each floor. The first floor has two old casement windows. The left return side has a rendered gable, and the right return side has an entrance to Cobbers Keep, featuring a 20th-century glazed door with a hood on shaped brackets, and a sash window above. An attic window is also present. The rear of the building is irregular, with five 20th-century flat-roofed dormers.
