Description
Southfield Farmhouse Barn, located approximately 2 meters north of the farmhouse, is an 18th-century barn constructed from squared, coursed limestone, featuring coped gables and a stone slate roof. The barn likely consists of seven bays. On the left and center, there are large weatherboarded openings that extend to the roof, with single plank doors inserted. To the right, there is a single stable door with a wooden lintel. Ventilation slits are present between each opening, and there are large plank doors at the rear that correspond to the front openings. A 19th-century brick lean-to is attached to the rear left. The hayloft has an opening on the right gable end, with a small wooden mullioned opening below it. Inside, the floors are stone flagged and cobbled, although the roof is not visible. The barn is included for its group value.
