Description
The barn and attached farm buildings located immediately northeast of Mount Pleasant were built in 1806 and altered around 1980. They were constructed as part of an estate farm for the Lucy family of Charlecote Park. The buildings are made of brick and feature tile roofs.
The exterior includes a large five-bay barn with a brick plinth and a modillioned cornice. The north front has a central blank bay, with a gabled midstray that has a segmental-headed opening to the right, and a 20th-century segmental-headed opening to the left that replaces another midstray, creating a through passage. Each end of the barn has pairs of diamond ventilation holes, while the east end features three diamond ventilation holes and the initials 'I L 1806' (for John Lucy) formed from the ventilation holes above. Attached to the southeast corner is a cart shed and stable with a hayloft above, which includes shuttered windows and split stable doors, as well as a brick external stair at the end. The interior has not been inspected.
