Description
The building consists of shelter sheds, a cider house, and a covered cartway, dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed of coursed lias stone with old tile roofs and has an L-shaped plan. The five-bay shelter sheds feature a right end bay that is now enclosed with a 20th-century door. Inside, there are remnants of hay racks, and the roof is supported by queen struts with braces to the tie beams and trenched purlins. The two-bay cider house has a plank door and also features a queen strut roof with a collar and through purlin. A cider mill, which was brought in from another location, is present inside. The walls of the covered cartway lean noticeably. This building is part of an interesting group that includes Mary Arden's House, a dovecote, and a barn and stable.
