Description

Yarningale Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with later alterations, located on Yarningale Lane, Yarningale. It exhibits a square timber-frame construction with painted brick infill, distinctive pinkish-brown brick stacks, and plain-tile roofs. The building comprises a two-unit plan with a cross-wing. The left portion is single-storied with an attic, while the right range extends to two storeys. The left side features a plank entrance door set within brick surrounds and two 20th-century casement windows. A gabled dormer with a casement window containing glazing bars is situated above. To the right, a projecting wing has two 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars on the ground floor, and a similar window in the gable end of the attic. A weatherboarded gable head is visible. The steeply-pitched gabled roof is punctuated by a left-end stack and a large lateral stack with cornices. The interior was not inspected.
