Description
This is a dovecote located approximately 40 meters north-northwest of Little Compton Manor, dating from the mid-17th century, with some restorations from the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a stone-slate roof. The dovecote has a square shape with gabled sides and a pyramidal turret at the center. It is two storeys high and includes a two-light mullioned window with a hood mould and labels on three sides, along with plank doors on the ground and first floors facing east. Inside, there are nesting boxes on three sides of the first floor, and most of the 17th-century roof timbers are still intact.
