Description

The terrace wall extending from the west end of Walton Hall is approximately 90 meters long and dates from around 1860. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a balustrade with octagonal piers. There are four flights of steps, with one balustraded handrail missing at the north end. The terrace runs along the west side of the garden, leading to the south facade of Walton Hall. This structure is part of a group that includes Walton Hall, a summerhouse, and a boathouse.
