Description
Evesham Lodge, located at Ragley Park, is a lodge built in 1872. It is likely constructed of brick and features elaborate ornamental sham timber framing with roughcast infill. The roof is covered with fish-scale tiles and has ridge cresting, along with a brick ridge stack that has three moulded shafts and an end stack with two T-plan. The building is one storey high with an attic and has a two-window range. The entrance door consists of four narrow vertical panels and is surrounded by a moulded wood frame. Inside, there is an elaborate timber porch with twisted balusters and a shaped tile roof. The windows are iron casements with a decorative glazing pattern, set in projecting moulded and chamfered wood surrounds. On the first floor, there is a gabled two-light half-dormer oriel on the right side, and the building features pierced and moulded Gothic bargeboards and original rainwater heads. The left-hand return side facing the road has a two-light window and an oriel on the ground floor, as well as a gable with an oriel on the first floor. The interior includes chamfered four-panelled doors.
