Description

The Rectory is a brick building dating from around 1830. It was constructed using a Flemish bond brick pattern, with ashlar and stucco detailing. The roof is slate, with two brick stacks situated cross-axis to each return, and a further stack to the valley ridge, all featuring plastered bases. The architectural style is Greek Revival. The building follows a double-depth plan with a central staircase.

The exterior presents a symmetrical appearance with five windows on each side. A sill band runs across the first floor, with a painted brick frieze and boxed eaves above. The recessed porch features inset Doric columns, a deep frieze, and a cornice, leading to a six-panel door with two glazed panels. The windows have sills and stucco wedge lintels, holding eight-over-eight sashes. The right return has a stone plinth with basement windows and brick flat arches. The left return is similar, but with one blocked window replaced by a smaller window.

The interior was not inspected for the listing, but it is noted to contain a stick-baluster staircase, panelled window shutters, and marble fireplaces.
