MORTON BAGOT SP16SW 5/126 Church Farm, barn range 01/02/67 approx. 20m. SE of farmhouse (Formerly listed as Barn at Church Farmhouse)

Range of 2 barns, C17/C18, with later alterations. Timber framed with brick infill and weatherboarding; right range has weatherboarding to gable only; some rebuilding in brick. old tile roof. Left range 5 bays, right range 3 bays. Front to farmyard has second bay rebuilt in brick:. Plank door inserted in third bay and stable door in fifth bay. Blocked barn doorways to third and sixth bays. C20 fixed light windows inserted at upper level. Front partly hidden by additions. Right return side underbuilt in brick. Stable door inserted in altered doorway. Gable has glazed apex. To rear: Second bay rebuit in brick. Blocked barn doorways. Sixth bay has narrow double doors. Pitch-hole with door. Windows inserted. Interior: Floors inserted. Jowled posts. Queen strut roof with trenched purlins and braces. Forms part of group with Church Farmhouse (q.v.), Church of the Holy Trinity (q.v.) and barn and shelter shed (q.v.). V.C.H.: Warwickshire, Vol.III, p.134).
