Description

The Church of St. Peter features a chest tomb located approximately 12 meters west of the nave, dating from 1687. This chest tomb is made of carved and moulded sandstone and has an elaborately moulded top and plinth. It is supported by tapering corner piers on pedestals. The sides of the tomb are adorned with three moulded panels, which include an inscription in the center flanked by cornucopiae. The ends of the tomb display a winged head and a wreath, with high relief carving throughout. The inscription commemorates Elizabeth.
