Description

This building comprises numbers 16, 18, and 20 Regent Street, forming a group. It dates from the late 19th or early 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick with a Welsh slate roof, featuring a stepped central gable topped with a ball finial. An oval window is set into the gable end. A modern shop front is present. The first and second floor fronts feature continuous windows arranged as 2:3:2 lights, with a central shallow canted bay. These windows are framed by slim iron colonnettes with Roman Ionic capitals and plain entablatures. Number 16, on the right-hand side, has a similar, but smaller, gable and a red brick front.
