Description

Canal bridge, built around 1800. It is constructed of limestone ashlar, with a small amount of brick patching on the parapet. The bridge features a string course and rounded coping, as well as a semi-circular arch. The ends curve out to square piers, and there is a cast-iron number plate. The Ashby-de-la-Zouch Canal was started in 1794 and finished in 1804.
