Description

The precinct wall, located 60 metres northwest of the Old Rectory, is a Grade II* listed structure dating from the early 14th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble and features gable coping. This wall was once part of the outer precinct wall of the Priory of Augustinian Canons, which was founded by William de Clinton, Earl of Huntingdon, and consecrated in 1342. The wall is also designated as a scheduled monument.
