Description

This former sundial, dating from the 17th century, is located approximately 40 meters east of the Vicarage on High Street in Polesworth. It is constructed from sandstone and features a pedestal made of regularly coursed stone, standing about 2 meters tall. The upper section is a square baluster with a moulded base and cornice, which supports a large square top that also has a moulded cornice. The north side of the sundial includes an inscription panel, though the text is illegible. At the top, there is an ogee cap with a bail finial.
