Description

The game larder, located 20 meters north of Blyth Hall, dates from around 1830. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth and has a hexagonal plan topped with a polygonal lead roof that has a deep overhang and is finished with a lead ball finial. The west side of the larder includes a doorway, while the walls consist of closed wood lower panels with wire mesh in the upper sections. Inside, there are original iron hooks and bars. This information is sourced from Sir William Dugdale.
