Description

The churchyard cross, located approximately 4 meters south of the tower of the Church of St Chad, is likely from the 17th century. It is made of red sandstone and features a two-tier stepped octagonal base. The shaft is tapered and about 1 meter high, with deep chamfers and cyma recta stops. The head of the cross is enlarged and decorated with inscribed Ionic scrolls.
