Description

Brooklands is a house located in Upper Tean, built in the mid-18th century with extensive late 19th-century additions. The building is constructed of red brick and features a tiled roof with a brick eaves cornice, which may have originally included verge parapets. It is two stories high with a gable-lit attic and has a two-window front. The tall casements have gauged brick heads and raised painted keystones. The 19th-century entrance is positioned in the right-hand window and is sheltered by a small lightweight gabled porch. The original 18th-century house is integrated into a 19th-century L-shaped block that is set back to the right and has four windows.
