Description

The Market Cross and stepped plinth, dating from the 17th century, is located on the south side of High Street in Cheadle. It is made of stone and features a roughly rectangular plinth that is raised on all sides by six steps. The cross itself has a square shaft that is chamfered into an octagonal shape, topped with a pyramidal capping stone.
