Description
This is a row of shops located on Cross Street in Cheadle, dating from the early 19th century with minor alterations from the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick and features a tiled roof with end stacks and ridge stacks. It stands three stories high and has a three-window front. The windows are glazing bar sashes with painted wedged heads. The early 19th-century shopfronts have small panes and moulded surrounds, with entrances positioned to the left of the front, featuring similar surrounds and part-glazed doors. To the left, the building extends under the same roof and includes an elliptical carriage arch with a 20th-century oriel window above. This structure is part of a cohesive street group, which is closed at both ends by a cross to the north and St. Giles to the south.
