Description

The Lock Up is a lock-up building dating from 1819, located on the west side of Dimble Lane in Alton. It is constructed from rock-faced ashlar and features an ashlar dome topped with a cupola and a ball finial. The building has a circular plan and is a single storey high, with a door located on the north side. It is also shown on the Ordnance Survey map as the Round House.
