Description

Peacock Houses, built around 1800, are estate houses of the Trentham Park Estate, originally serving as the Aviary, with No 5 functioning as the keeper's house. The buildings are constructed of painted brick and feature a single-storeyed central block that has been altered and converted into three dwellings. This central block includes a semi-circular carriage arch and casement windows set in plain stone surrounds. Flanking the central block are raised wings, with the western wing being No 5, which is two to three storeys high. This wing features a casement window facing the road, topped with a Sutherland monogram, and a plain doorway that has a modern wooden porch. The roofs are covered with Roman tiles.
