Description
Mosty Lea Mill is an early 19th-century former bone grinding mill located on Longton Road in Oulton. The building is constructed of red brick and features tiled roofs. It stands two storeys tall, with the ground floor built into the side of a slope. On the west side, there is a 20-foot diameter iron and wood undershot waterwheel. The mill still contains some machinery, including an iron grinding pan and a large brick grinding pan in an adjoining bay. Currently, the mill and its ancillary buildings are in a ruinous state.
