Description

The Newport Road Bridge (Number 35) is a road bridge over the Shropshire Union Canal, built around 1829 to 1832 and designed by Thomas Telford. It is constructed of stone and features a stone band and coping. The bridge has a single elliptical arch made of voussoirs, with solid parapets and piers. Additionally, there are two iron rope fenders.
