Description
The Gnosall Village Lock-Up is a 19th-century building constructed from rock-faced sandstone with a sandstone flagged roof. It has a square plan and features five large, rusticated ashlar courses, an eaves band, and a pyramidal roof topped with a ball finial. On the south side, there is a triangular pedimented doorway with a rusticated surround, which contains an early 21st-century oak door that is nail-studded and incorporates some timbers from the original 19th-century door. The north, west, and east sides of the building are blind, meaning they do not have any openings.
