Description
The Boulton Monument, located approximately 3.5 metres south of the Church of St Mary in Stafford, is a Grade II listed structure commemorating several members of the Boulton family, with dates of death ranging from 1785 to 1864, and is likely from 1817. The monument is constructed of ashlar and features a square shape on a rectangular platform, which previously had railings. It has a plain plinth and angles that taper with a chamfer. The cornice is adorned with a flattened egg-and-dart motif, and each face of the monument includes a semi-circular terminal with a wreath, while the angles are decorated with stylised fleur-de-lis.
