Description
Stourton Lock Number 1 on the Stourbridge Canal is a lock built in the late 18th century. It features a brick chamber adorned with a diamond pattern made from engineering bricks, along with some stone copings. The lock has a single timber top gate, equipped with both gate and ground paddles. At the bottom, there are double timber gates, also with gate paddles, and timber balance beams. The wing walls are made of stone-dressed brick, and there are tail steps on the towpath side.
