Description
Stourton Lock no 2 is a lock built in the late 18th century. It features a brick chamber with stone and diamond pattern brick copings. The lock has a single wooden top gate equipped with ground and gate paddles, as well as double wooden bottom gates that also have gate paddles. Wood balance beams are present, and the brick wing walls include a cantilevered split tailbridge at the bottom of the lock.
