Description

The ACD Plant General Stores is a shop that dates from the 16th or 17th century. It features a timber-framed structure, with some parts replaced in brick, and has a plain tile roof topped with a brick ridge stack. The building is one storey high with an attic and is roughly divided into three bays. The right-hand bay includes a carriageway with a loft above it. The central section has a gabled wing that features an early 20th-century shop front, which includes two half-glazed doors, with the left door being pilastered, and a large shop window. Above this is a segmental-headed casement window. There is also a slightly lower left-hand extension bay that has a pilastered shop window of similar design and date.
