Description
The premises of Ashe and Nephew is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone later alterations and additions. The building is constructed of painted brick and features a plain tile roof with a raised verge. It stands two storeys high and has a first-floor band as well as a dripstone band above the first-floor windows. There are three windows that have plate glass sashes with segmental heads, and the shop front is from the 20th century. To the left, there are side passage doors with a segmental arch. Originally, this building formed a single architectural composition with the adjoining Whitehouse Pharmacy. It is included for its group value.
