Description
Pear Tree Farmhouse and the attached agricultural buildings consist of a farmhouse, barn, and stables dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later alterations. The buildings are constructed of red brick and feature a plain tile roof with raised verges, a brick ridge stack, and an integral end stack. The farmhouse is oriented north-east to south-west and faces north-west, while the barn is located to the south-east and the stable to the south-west, both aligned north-west to south-east.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has dentilled eaves, with four windows, mostly 20th-century casements set in original openings that have segmental heads. There is a central six-panelled door with a segmental head, which is accessed by a flight of steps. To the right, there is a low lean-to extension with a partly blocked wide, segmental arched door, and the gable end of the barn is located behind it. The set-back gable end of the stable is to the left. Inside, the farmhouse features chamfered and stopped ceiling beams.
