Description
The Rhodes memorial, located approximately 13 meters south of the Church of St Mary and All Saints, is a chest tomb likely dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and has an oblong shape. The tomb features a moulded plinth and capping, with rounded corners and multi-fluted pilasters. There are moulded inscription panels with fluted spandrels at the corners on both the long and short sides, along with an inscription on the top ledger. At the time of the last survey in 1984, much of the inscription was covered with ivy and was indecipherable.
