Description

The gate piers to Whitmore Hall, located immediately to the west of Whitmore Hall Lodge, are likely from the late 17th century or early 18th century, although they are not in their original position. They are made of rusticated sandstone ashlar and are square in shape, featuring a moulded plinth and capping. Each pier is topped with a pineapple finial. Their style is comparable to the gate piers at Lea Head Manor in Maer.
