Description
This bridge, located approximately 90 meters north-east of the Clock House, was likely built around 1830 and has undergone later modifications. It is constructed from rusticated sandstone ashlar with a red brick parapet, which probably replaced an original open stone balustrade. The bridge features a tall round-headed arch supported by heavy voussoirs and a keystone. To the north, there are ramped revetment walls, while the south side has a natural rock-lined cutting that ends in a pair of ball-capped piers. The road beneath the bridge connects the former stables at the Clock House to Keele Hall.
