Description

This is a dovecote and cartshed dating from the 18th century, located approximately 70 metres west of Betley Old Hall. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped plain tile roof with a square plan. The building has two storeys and includes a dentilled eaves band. The cartshed has an entrance on the west side with a rounded arch and boarded doors. On the east side, there are openings for the dovecote, one of which has a segmental head. Inside, the walls of the first floor dovecote are lined with nesting boxes.
