Description
Pipe Hall is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations and additions made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a tiled roof featuring a dentilled eaves cornice, and includes stacks on the right side of the front, and to the sides and rear. The asymmetrical front is divided into two parts, both of two storeys and with an attic. The right-hand part has a hipped dormer over a frontage of two windows, but the equivalent length of four windows, the two segmental-headed, transomed casements being set to the left. There is one window to the left of the ground floor with a lean-to addition to its right; the entrance is situated to the left of centre and has a segmental head under a pent porch. A gable is set back to the left, featuring a single range of windows. There is a blind attic window above a casement, similar to those on the right-hand range, along with a hipped three-sided bay with glazing bar sashes on the ground floor. Inside, the entrance leads into a through passage, possibly relating to the plan of an earlier house.
