Description
Russell's Bank is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house, dating from the late 17th century with later alterations. It is constructed of brown brick in Flemish bond and features a hipped plain tile roof with brick ridge stacks. The building has two storeys and a façade with a symmetrical arrangement of three windows, consisting of casements with flat brick arches. A central gabled break includes a porch with a large four-centred stone arch and a cyma recta moulded cornice. The mid-20th century door is flanked by circular windows of similar age. Each end of the house has two bays. The eaves and roof were rebuilt in the late 19th or early 20th century. Inside, there is a large entrance hall with 17th-century oak wall panelling that features a fluted frieze, along with a 17th-century staircase that has a closed string and turned balusters.
