Description

This is a 17th-century barn located at the rear of numbers 179 and 181 on Main Road in Brereton. The structure is built of ashlar stone, with some repairs and infilling done in brick, and features renewed brick eaves courses. It has a plain tile roof and is one storey high, with a later boarded loft added. Both gables display exposed timber framing, which is filled with brick and stone. The north side has a plain doorway and window, while the centre of the rear has a large later doorway.
