Description

Footherley Farmhouse and the attached barn are a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick and features tiled roofs. The roof has a ridge stack at the center of the right side and end stacks on the left. The front of the farmhouse is divided into three parts, creating an appealing asymmetric design. On the right side, there is a single storey and attic with two windows; these include gabled 20th-century dormers with three-light casements above further similar casements that have segmental heads. The entrance is located at the left end and is accompanied by a gabled 20th-century porch. To the left, there is a taller two-storey addition with one window that matches the style of the windows above. The barn is attached to the far left, is lower in height, and balances the overall composition with a verge parapet and a projecting outshut roof that extends down to a low frontage wall.
