Description

Weeford Lodge is a lodge dating from the 1830s. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings, featuring a large-slate roof with stone coped verges, corbelled kneelers, finials, and twin shafted side and ridge stacks. The building follows a T-shaped plan and is built in the Tudor style.

The road front consists of two storeys and two windows, with a raised string at first-floor level. A small, projecting central gable contains a stone mullioned two-light first-floor window over a four-light mullioned ground-floor window – the ground-floor window extends across the full width of the gable projection, accompanied by matching side-lights set beyond thick corner posts. A single light window is positioned to the left of the building. All windows display elaborately patterned lights. The right-hand side of the building is dominated by a large stack.

An entrance is located on the right side, facing the drive, leading to a single-storey gabled porch with a Tudor-arch doorway. The stone facing extends to the drive side of a rear wing.
