Description

No. 5 Brookside Road is a large detached house with late medieval origins, featuring a hall and a cross wing. The hall has a raised cruck truss with carved bosses and moulded ceiling beams. The building is constructed with a timber frame and brick, topped with a tiled roof and brick stacks. It has undergone many alterations, resulting in an irregular front elevation that includes two gables. The house is two storeys high and has a four-window front, with casement windows, some of which have leaded lights. The entrance features a plain doorway with a tiled lean-to roof.
