Description

Manor House is a detached house set back from the road, formerly known as an inn called The Hit and Miss, dating from around 1600. The building has been well restored and features a combination of timber framing and brick, topped with a tiled roof and brick stacks. It has two storeys and an attic, with casement windows that have leaded lights and a plain doorway. Inside, the house showcases much exposed timber framing, including ceiling beams on both floors, oak boarded floors on the first storey, original fire surrounds, and a Jacobean carved overmantel in the sitting room.
